YouTube has taken down the controversial episode of 'India's Got Latent' featuring podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia's vulgar remarks.
The entire episode, which included the objectionable statement, was removed following a directive from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
Additionally, Priyank Kanoongo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission, had also called for the video's removal from the platform.
Amid the controversy surrounding influencer Ranveer Allahbadia's objectionable remarks on parents and sex, the Guwahati Police registered a case against him and four others on Monday.
A complaint was lodged by a local resident, accusing them of promoting obscenity in a publicly accessible online show. Along with Allahbadia, the case also names stand-up comedian Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija.
Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as Beer Biceps, has found himself at the center of criticism over his comments on Raina's YouTube show 'India's Got Latent.'
The controversy has drawn widespread backlash, and authorities have confirmed that the case is currently under investigation. The 31-year-old content creator has since issued an apology for his remarks on the show.
