Abel Tesfaye, popularly known 'The Weekend' announced that he's working on his last music album as The Weeknd. Speaking to W Magazine, the singer-actor revealed he might be ending one part of his musical career, 'The album I’m working on now is probably my last hurrah as The Weeknd. This is something that I have to do. As The Weeknd, I’ve said everything I can say.'
He further added, 'At the moment, I'm on a cathartic path. It's getting to the point where I'm preparing to wrap up the Weeknd chapter. I'll continue to release music, possibly as The Weeknd or as Abel. I still desire to murder The Weeknd, though. I will, too. Eventually. Undoubtedly, I'm attempting to shed that exterior and become new.'
The singer's previous music album Dawn FM was released last January. He is also set to star in a new film project with Jenna Ortega, which is directed by Trey Edward Shults.
