Singer Taylor Swift has confirmed the early screening of her concert film in the US and Canada due to ‘unprecedented demand’ by the Swifties.
The singer officially announced that ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ will be released on October 12, a day prior and additional showtimes and tickets will be made available owing to the excessive demand.
In a lengthy post on X, Taylor Swift wrote, ‘PREMIERE DAY. Andddd I can’t really wrap my head around this but…. Look what you genuinely made me do: Due to unprecedented demand we’re opening up early access showings of The Eras Tour Concert Film on THURSDAY in America and Canada!! As in… TOMORROW.’
She added, ‘We’re also adding additional showtimes Friday and throughout the weekend. All tickets will be available by 10am tomorrow morning. And it’ll be showing starting Friday in 90 countries all over the world. I can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of: The Eras Tour. And the best part is, it’s an adventure we’re still on together. Getting in the car now…’
‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ was only set to be released in North America but later the singer announced it would have a worldwide release.
‘The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide. Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters worldwide on Oct 13,’ Taylor stated earlier.
The musician will finish the 2023 leg of the Eras Tour in Argentina and Brazil by November before taking another interval for the holiday season. Taylor will resume the concert stretch in February 2024 in Tokyo before exploring other major cities across Europe, Australia, and Asia.
Besides her Eras Tour concert film, this month fans are also looking forward to the release of ‘1989’ (Taylor’s Version). The musician will drop her fourth re-recorded album on October 27.
