The “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, Sim Liu has joined the cast of 'Barbie'. Helmed by Greta Gerwig, the film also stars Margot Robbie as 'Barbie', Ryan Gosling as her boyfriend 'Ken' and America Ferrera.
However, it is not clear as what characters Liu and Ferrera will be portraying in the film. Even the plot details have been kept under wraps by the makers.

The script has been written by the duo Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach. The film has been produced by Margot Robbie, Robbie Brenner and David Heyman.
“Barbie,” is expected to start production in early 2022 at the Warner Bros. It is slated to hit the theaters sometime in 2023.
Liu is best known for playing as a Marvel superhero Shang-Chi. The actor has also earned fame from the Canadian sitcom 'Kim’s Convenience'.
