Kim Cattrall will be reprising her ‘Sex and the City’ role Samantha Jones in the spin-off show ‘And Just Like That’.
A spokesperson for HBO/Max confirmed to CNN that Kim Cattrall filmed a scene in March in New York City, without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series.
Cattrall played the sex-positive publicist Jones in ‘Sex and the City’ for six seasons.
According to a report in Variety, in the scene, Samantha will be seen having a phone conversation with Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw, as she has moved to London.
For those unaware, Kim Cattrall publicly spoke about the tension between her and Sarah Jessica Parker. She had said she is done playing the role of Samantha Jones after she didn’t like the script of the third ‘Sex and the City’ film. Kim said the story didn’t do justice to her role which led to a public fallout with Parker.
‘And Just Like That’ stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis reprising their characters from the original series, which aired from 1998-2004 on HBO.
The original series showed the women navigating the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s, the revival tackled the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.
