Pop star Rihanna has fuelled speculation about her retirement from music with a cryptic comment. Despite promising that a new album is in the works, the bad girl’s statement has left her fans worried and curious.
During an event for her makeup line, Rihanna spoke about shifting focus from music. The ‘Diamond’ hitmaker said that ‘music was the thing that got the attention, but God had other plans for me’.
The video clip was uploaded on social media and many fans are interpreting it as her hinting at retirement from music.
Earlier in June this year, Rihanna sparked similar rumours when she wore a blue T-shirt with ‘I’m Retired’ written on it. However the speculation contradicts with Rihanna’s statement that she is working on her new album.
The global pop sensation has not released any new music since 2016’s ‘Anti’ and has been focused on her Fenty Beauty empire.
