It’s a star-studded beginning to the Paris Olympics 2024. A night before the opening ceremony, Hollywood A-listers arrived to party in Paris and celebrate the spirit of games and glamour. Celebrities from Hollywood and the sports world including the likes of Zendaya, Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams and more attended the Prelude to the Olympics.
Charlize Theron, Serena Williams, Rosalia and Omar Sy co-charied a Prelude to the Olympics event on Thursday. Zendaya certainly won the night as she stunned in a dazzling full-length black sequin gown and wet look put together by her stylist Law Roach.
Other stars from the world of cinema and sports in attendance at the party included Steven Spielberg, Jeremy Allen White, Mick Jagger, LeBron James, Spike Lee, Naomi Osaka and many more.
Singer and songwriter Tyla performed at the star-studded party. Inspired by the theme of a game night, the event included interactive art installations and archery, tennis, basketball and other games. Celebrity guests tried their hands on claw machines, foosball table and archery targets.
Singer and rapper Pharrell Williams, who curated the starry evening, teased his new single titled ‘Triumphus Cosmos’ as well. Speaking about his goal, Pharrell said that he would like to reintroduce arts competitions into the Olympics. Williams said, "We get to remind people that at one point, the Olympics actually had the arts as a section that ran all these competitions. Sculpture, architecture, visual arts. The idea we get to put the arts back in. Why not take this moment to bring awareness?"
Paris Olympics 2024 will kick off with an opening ceremony on Friday at 11 pm IST and conclude at 3 am IST. The ceremony will be available for streaming on Jio Cinema and Jio Cinema app.
Celebrities including Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Sydney Sweeney, Salma Hayek and many more celebrities have touched down in Paris to kick off the Olympics 2024.
