‘Mission Impossible 7’ box office day 1: Tom Cruise starrer emerges as biggest Hollywood opener of 2023

Tom Cruise starrer ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ was released in theatres on July 12 and it opened to rave reviews from the audience as well as the critics.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the action drama minted Rs 12.50 crores on its opening day in India.

The Christopher McQuarrie directorial will become the biggest opener from the MI franchise in India.

In 2018, ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ had an opening of Rs 9.25 crore nett in India, and it went on to earn around Rs 80 crore.

According to Variety, ‘Mission Impossible 7’ is expected to make around $85 million to $95 million in North America and $160 million internationally in its first five days of release.

‘Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One’ will face competition from Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ and Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ from July 21.

The first-day collection of ‘Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ is at par with Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa starrer ‘Fast X’. The film had debuted with Rs 12.50 crore in May this year.

‘Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Rebecca Ferguson among others.
