Camila Cabello surely knows how to make a stylish statement. The singer is no stranger to high-profile events and has often made heads turn with her fashion-forward outfits on the red carpet. So when the fashion's biggest night, Met Monday, came knocking at her door, the pop star didn't hold back. This year, the Costume Institute's exhibition was based on the theme of "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," with the official dress code being "The Garden of Time". Nailing this year's theme, Camila Cabello attended the coveted charity event in a sparkling ensemble by designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin. Scroll ahead to learn more about her outfit.
The 'Senorita' hitmaker's golden gown featured 250,000 Swarovski crystals all over it. Also consisting of a thigh-high slit and rips towards the bottom part, the gown weighed more than 15 pounds and also took 450 hours to be made. She revealed she and stylist Jared Ellner had worked with designer Ludovic De Saint Sernin on the dress.
The singer wore her hair in a sleek ponytail. Complimenting her look, she kept her make-up gold-toned, with bronzed cheeks, mascara-laden lashes, gold eyeshadow and matte golden-hued lips.
While Camila's outfit was enough to set tongues wagging, it's her choice of accessory that has the internet melting. The 'Cinderella' actor teamed her outfit with a clutch. However, it was not a normal clutch: Her purse was made of actual ice and had a rose in the centre. The purpose of the innovative accessory was to melt with her body heat and by the time the event was over, she would eventually be left with a rose in her hand. “When I leave, I'll just have a rose," she told E!eNews while talking about her outfit.
