Mariah Carey and her longtime partner Bryan Tanaka have reportedly parted ways. There were rumours about the couple’s break up when Tanaka just stopped attending the singer’s 'Merry Christmas One and All!' tour in the middle of November.
A source close to Page Six revealed that the couple broke up because they wanted different things in life. As per the insider, “He wants to have a family. That’s not where she is at.”
The source further revealed that the age gap of 14 years has further led to their separation.
Carey already has two children: Moroccan and Monroe from her ex-husband Nick Cannon.
The singer also went on a solo trip to Aspen, and fans could sense something was wrong between the couple.
Earlier in an interview with People, Carey shared that she had a difficult year. This also added fuel to the fire.
“I’ve been looking forward to this Christmas for, like, the whole year. Since last year — because last year wasn’t the greatest,” she said. “I’m thankful for them all, but it wasn’t my most fun version of Christmas ever,” she added further.
Many social media users are sad and have expressed their disappointment on the matter.
