Madonna’s biggest-ever free concert in Brazil brings over 1.6 million fans to Rio beach

A sea of fans gathered at Brazil’s Copacabana beach as Madonna ended her ‘Celebration’ tour with a free concert. Almost the entire city joined in to celebrate and dance at the pop icon’s biggest-ever concert. 

Madonna’s record-breaking concert 

Madonna ended her ‘The Celebration Tour’ in style. The global pop sensation put on an unforgettable and never seen before show for the ‘Celebration’ finale. Taking to her Instagram account, the singer shared a glimpse of the spectacular show which reportedly saw the presence of over 1.6 million fans cheering and singing along her chart busters.  

Madonna also addressed the crowd during her performance and said, “Rio, here we are, in the most beautiful place in the world, with the ocean, the mountains, Jesus. Magic!” 

Madonna performed some of her all time hits including ‘Nothing Really Matters’, ‘Like A Prayer’, ‘Vogue’ and ‘Express Yourself’ at the concert. The pop queen was also joined by Brazilian singer Anitta on stage.

Madonna’s Rio concert was the finale of her ‘The Celebration Tour’ as the singer is celebrating 40 years of her musical journey. Ahead of her houseful concert, the singer had teased fans with a preview on Instagram. 

Score of fans gathered ahead of Madonna’s concert. They danced to her songs before the concert even began. There were giant TV screens placed along the beach to ensure that the fans get to see their favourite star. And if that wasn’t enough, many fans watched her from their nearby apartments, hotels and boats parked near beach.
