Donald Trump is no stranger to making weird comments and claims. During the presidential debate, the former US president claimed that Haitian immigrants in Springfield were eating local people’s cats and dogs.
John Legend, whose hometown is in Springfield, addressed Donald Trump’s claim. He rubbished his statement and said that ‘Nobody’s eating cats, nobody’s eating dogs’.
Legend spoke about the history and challenges of the town and emphasised that the immigrants came there as there were jobs and opportunities for them. Contrary to Trump’s message on immigrants, the singer posed a question, ‘How about we love one another?’
