Star couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are reportedly going through a rough phase in their marriage. Amid the speculations, Jennifer is busy promoting her forthcoming film ‘Atlas’.
At a recent promotional event in Mexico, Jennifer Lopez shut down a reporter who asked her to address divorce rumours. She responded with a brief smile, saying, ‘You know better than that,’ as seen in a viral video.
Rumours about Jennifer and Ben’s break up grew stronger after Lopez attended the film’s second premiere in Mexico alone, while Affleck was seen at a popular hotspot in Santa Monica, California, later that night.
Adding to the speculation, a source told Page Six that Affleck, 51, has now realized his marriage to Lopez, 54, is over. The insider claimed, ‘If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,’ suggesting that Affleck feels the past two years were like a ‘fever dream’ and that ‘he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.’
Breakup rumours started when Affleck was seen leaving a home in LA's Brentwood neighborhood, where he reportedly stayed separately from Lopez. Despite this, the couple was photographed together for the first time in over a month after attending a play featuring 15-year-old Seraphina on May 17.
Speculation continued as reports indicated that Affleck has been house hunting in LA and was seen without his wedding band on May 18. However, the couple seemed to dismiss the rumors by attending a movie event at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica together a day later. Affleck was also spotted receiving a call from ‘Jennifer Affleck’ while driving, with Lopez in the passenger seat.
Lopez and Affleck, once engaged before breaking up, reignited their romance and married in July 2022. Despite ongoing speculation and separate public appearances, they continue to appear united, leading fans and the media to speculate about their true relationship status.
