The fans of horror thrillers are beyond excited as their wait of 13 years is finally over. The producer and cinematographer of ‘Final Destination 6’ have confirmed that the shooting of the film has begun, however, they did not share much about the cast and plot of the film.
Spilling the beans, producer Craig Perry revealed that the title of the sixth installment of the franchise will be ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’. The film will be released in 2025 which will also mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first film of the franchise.
Sharing the exciting update about the film, Perry wrote, “After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first instalment in the franchise. To honour the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release (in IMAX, no less) is a rare and wonderful thing. I’m wholly grateful for the opportunity and humbly appreciate the sublimely talented team that has worked so hard to bring this to life. See you next year. PS: I know, I know, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. But this is the title we’ve had for three years and we’re keeping it, for now.” Perry also shared a picture from the set unveiling the logo of the film’s title.
While not much is revealed yet about the plot, Tony Todd, who played William Bludworth in the ‘Final Destination 2 and 5’ will be back in the sixth installment.
‘Final Destination’ established itself as one of the most iconic horror franchise with five films, 2 comic books and nine novels. Each film revolves around a group of individuals who fight to evade their deaths. One of them experiences a vision about the impending disaster but falls prey to it despite their every effort.
