Beyoncé has surprised fans with a new album announcement, titled 'Act II'. She has also released two new songs, 'Texas Hold ’Em' and '16 Carriages'. Queen Bey dropped the bombshell during the Super Bowl LVIII game with a video on her Instagram.
After her whirlwind Rennaisance tour, Beyoncé is ready for 'Act II'. The pop star is back with two new country tracks: 'Texas Hold 'Em' and '16 Carriages.' The new album marks a quick turnaround for new music considering Bey's track record: before 'Act I: Renaissance', the singer released her first full-fledged studio album in 2016, 'Lemonade'.
Following a Verizon commercial featuring Beyonce aired during the NFL Finale, the superstar said, 'They ready, drop the new music', leaving a cheering crowd in disbelief. Soon after this, a cryptic Instagram video with country iconography appeared on her page, teasing “Act II” on March 29. At the end of the video, Bey croons, 'This ain’t Texas, / Ain’t no hold 'em, / So lay your cards down down down'.
Beyoncé was in attendance at the Allegiant Stadium, watching the Super Bowl with her husband, Jay-Z.
