James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, a follow-up to the 2009 smash hit released on December 16. The film is doing wonders at the Indian box office but on Monday it has seen a major drop at the ticket booths.
As per a report in Hindustan Times, the film had a fantastic weekend at the domestic box office. However, its collection dropped by nearly 60 percent on Monday and it earned around ₹18.60 crores across India. The film now has a four-day gross collection of ₹147.6 crores in India in all languages.
This science fiction film opened to positive reviews in India and earned ₹41 crores on its first day. It went on to collect ₹129 crores in its opening weekend.
‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ was released in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film has a runtime of 192 minutes.
The epic science fiction film features several A-list actors, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Kate Winslet, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, and Cliff Curtis.
