Biopic on sports icon is a genre that’s loved by Bollywood and the audiences alike. From Mary Kom to Chandu Champion, the stories of the legends have reached the common people in the most impactful and inspirational way.
Neeraj Chopra, India’s Olympic champion recently expressed his thoughts on the idea of a biopic on his life. A humble Neeraj responded by saying that he believes it’s too early for a biopic to be made on his life and such films should be made after the retirement of the athlete.
When asked if he has any actor in his mind to play his role, the star athlete said that he doesn’t know who would be suitable but thinks Randeep Hooda would be good choice to play him on the big screen. He said, "I can only think of Randeep Hooda. He is a great actor and he is from Haryana.
The Olympic medalist was also asked whether he would like to star in the biopic himself. Responding to the question, Neeraj said that acting is difficult for him even though he appears in ad films. He added that he finds commercial shoots difficult and is probably not meant for it.
