‘Adipurush’, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, was released in theatres on June 16 and was brutally trolled for its poor VFX and dialogues. Now, cricketer Virender Sehwag has reviewed the Om Raut directorial on Twitter.

He sarcastically tweeted, ‘Adipurush dekhkar pata chala Katappa ne Bahubali ko kyun maara tha (After watching Adipurush, you realise why Kattappa killed Baahubali (who was played by Prabhas)’. Prabhas plays the role of Raghav in the film.

Sehwag’s tweet didn’t go down well with the fans of the Telugu star. Many trolls attacked the former Indian cricketer and his achievements. They claimed that Sehwag’s highest score in Test cricket is 319 (the highest Test score by any Indian batsman), while Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ has earned more than Rs 340 crore worldwide in ten days.

However, several Twitter also agreed with Sehwag and one person termed his tweet as the best sixer hit by the cricketer.

‘Adipurush’ is based on the Hindu epic Ramayan. Prabhas stars as Raghav, who goes to war with Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan) to get back his wife Janaki (Sita).

Even after being brutally trolled for hurting religious sentiments, the film earned more than Rs 274 crore at the box office in India in ten days.
