Actors Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi, who have been dating each other for quite some time, are all set to get engaged on June 9. The announcement was made by the popular Telugu publicist duo Vamsi-Sekhar on Twitter.
‘Mega prince @IAmVarunTej and @Itslavanya getting engaged on 9th June, 2023. Wishing a lifetime of happiness together (sic),’ the tweet read.
The engagement ceremony will reportedly take place at Varun Tej's home with his parents and Lavanya's parents and close friends in attendance.
Over the last few days, several reports surfaced about Varun and Lavanya’s engagement. However, neither of them reacted to the rumours. The duo will reportedly get married later this year.
Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi have worked together in two Telugu films, ‘Mister’ and ‘Antariksham 9000KMPH’.
Varun was recently vacationing in Italy. He had shared several pictures from the trip on social media. Going by Lavanya’s recent Instagram posts, she too was on holiday. However, it is unclear if they were together.
On the work front, Varun Tej recently completed filming his upcoming Telugu action film, ‘Gandeevadhari Arjuna’. Directed by Parveen Sattaru, the film is scheduled to release on August 25.
On the other hand, Lavanya was last seen in Telugu comedy ‘Happy Birthday’. She made her OTT debut recently with Telugu series ‘Puli Meka’, which saw her in the role of a cop.
