Actor Randeep Hooda is known to put in his best efforts to get into the skin of the character he portrays onscreen. On May 28, the teaser of Randeep's directorial debut, titled 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' was released.
Now, the film's producer Anand Pandit , in a recent interview, has shared that Randeep lost 26 kgs to play the role of Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Sarvarkar. He said that the actor had only one khajoor and one glass of milk for four months until the shooting got over.
The producer added that Randeep Hooda shaved his head off as well for the role.
Anand Pandit also revealed that initially Mahesh Manjerekar was supposed to direct the film, but due to date issues he had to step down.
'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' is expected to release in September.
