Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar 2’ is continuing its golden run at the box office. The blockbuster film set a new record with its second-weekend number.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘Gadar 2’ had a ₹ 90 crore Weekend 2, taking its total to over ₹ 375 crore. With this, the film has surpassed the Weekend 2 numbers of ‘Pathaan’, ‘Dangal’, ‘Sanju’ and the Hindi versions of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.

Set in Lahore during the year 1971, 'Gadar 2' shows how Tara Singh ventures across the border in a daring attempt to rescue his son who has been captured in Pakistan.
Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2' was released on August 11, and it clashed with Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2'.
The movie is a sequel to the 2001 film 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' which was set against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947.
