Sonam Kapoor's father-in-law's firm duped of ₹ 27 crore by a gang of cybercriminals

The Faridabad police has arrested a gang of cybercriminals for duping the Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor's father-in-law's export-import firm ‘Shahi Export Factory’ of Rs 27 crore.

The police, on Friday, had revealed that the cybercriminals had duped Sonam Kapoor’s father-in-law (Harish Ahuja's) Faridabad-based firm ‘Shahi Export Factory’, by misappropriating Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies licenses. They had also forged Mr. Ahuja's Digital Signature Certificate.

The police further informed that they were working on the case silently after they received a complaint from Ahuja's firm during July last year. The Faridabad police has arrested a total of nine accused from different places in the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Karnataka.

Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with Anand Ahuja in in a traditional Sikh wedding on May 8, 2018. Anand Ahuja is a businessman based in Delhi, who is also the founder of a popular clothing brand called ‘Bhane’. He also works as a director in his father's company ‘Shahi Export Factory’.
