The day began with some shocking news for Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja. The couple's New Delhi home was robbed, and cash and jewellery valued at Rs 1.41 crore were stolen.
According to the reports, Sonam Kapoor's mother-in-law was the first to rush to the Tughlaq Road police station to report the robbery at their home.
According to reports, the Delhi Police is questioning employees in addition to caretakers, drivers, gardeners, and other workers. Not only the Delhi Police, but also the FSL are busy collecting evidence regarding the case. And since the case was high-profile, it was kept under wraps (till date). According to reports, the investigations are going on and the culprits are yet to be identified.
As per reports, Sonam's father-in-law, Harish Ahuja and mother-in-law Priya Ahuja live in the Delhi residence on Amrita Shergill Marg with Anand's grandmother Sarla Ahuja. The latter claimed in her complaint that she had discovered about the theft on February 11 when she checked her cupboards for jewellery and cash. On February 23, the complaint was filed. She told the cops that the last time she checked on the jewellery was two years ago.
The police began investigating the case at Sonam and Anand's home immediately after receiving the complaint. They are also looking through CCTV footage from the previous year to look for any kind of suspects in the case.
Sonam and Anand, who are expecting their first child, are currently in Mumbai.
