About ‘The Roshans’
'The Roshans' documentary will chronicle the story of the renowned music director Roshan (Hrithik's grandfather), Rakesh Roshan (his filmography), Rajesh Roshan (his music career), and Hrithik's acting journey. Starting in 1948, when Roshan moved to Bombay in search of work and eventually became the assistant to music composer Khawaja Khurshid Anwar for the 1949 film 'Singaar,' the documentary will trace the family's journey in the film industry.
A source told News18, ‘Few know that Roshanji’s wife, Ira, was a singer and composer. Such little-known anecdotes about the family will be unveiled in the documentary as it traces the journey of each Roshan. And who better to talk about it than Rakesh, Rajesh and Hrithik? They have all contributed in different forms to the film industry.’
Speaking about the documentary, Rakesh Roshan said, ‘All I can say is that we are doing a documentary on the Roshans from the year 1948, which begins with my father’s journey, goes through mine and my brother Rajesh’s, and carries on with Hrithik.’
'The Roshans' documentary will adopt a similar style to 'The Romantics,' featuring interviews with friends, colleagues, and family members.
