Actor Sara Ali Khan, who has been actively promoting her forthcoming film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, offered prayers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district on May 31. She also participated in the ‘Bhasma Aarti’ ritual, which is performed during the Brahma Muhurta between 4am-5:30 am in the morning.
Sara performed Jalabhishek inside the sanctum as well.
This is not Sara Ali Khan’s first visit to Mahakaleshwar Temple. According to news agency ANI, priest Sanjay Guru said, ‘Sara Ali Khan has unwavering faith in Baba Mahakal. Therefore, she often visits here.’
As it is mandatory for women to wear saree at the Bhasma Aarti, the actor donned a pink saree for the ritual.
On May 30, Sara visited Hanuman Setu temple in Lucknow along with her co-star Vicky Kaushal. Pictures and videos of their visit were widely shared online. Sara also shared a picture of their visit on Instagram, captioned, 'Jai Bholenath'.
‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, directed by Laxman Utekar, will release in theatres on June 2. Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, the film also stars Sushmita Mukherjee, Neeraj Sood, Rakesh Bedi and Sharib Hashmi.
