‘Sam Bahadur’ new poster: Vicky Kaushal looks intense in Sam Manekshaw’s avatar; see post

Actor Vicky Kaushal is all set to grace the silver screen once again with his much-anticipated film ‘Sam Bahadur.’ Creating a buzz around the upcoming release, the actor unveiled a new poster of the Meghna Gulzar-directed movie on his Instagram on November 1.  

The freshly unveiled poster features Vicky Kaushal dressed as Sam Manekshaw, depicting a commanding presence in a military uniform, accompanied by a resolute expression.

In the caption, he wrote, 'SAM IS HERE!!! On 1.12.2023. One month to go!'

Story Of The Movie

Based on the life of India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, 'Sam Bahadur' narrates his remarkable journey spanning over four decades and five wars. It highlights Sam Manekshaw's pivotal role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war which led to the liberation of Bangladesh, marking a significant chapter in India's history.

The Theater Clash

Scheduled to hit theatres on December 1, 'Sam Bahadur' will clash at the box-office with 'Animal,' which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. 

Addressing the clash during the teaser launch of the film, Vicky emphasised the importance of offering the audience a diverse range of films simultaneously. 

He asserted, ‘As an industry, we should embrace the idea of multiple films releasing on the same day, providing viewers with a variety of choices.’

Other cast members

Besides Vicky, ‘Sam Bahadur’ also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. It also features Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman) and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in key roles.

Vicky’s work front

Vicky was last seen in ‘The Great Indian Family’. After ‘Sam Bahadur’, he reportedly has a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki’.
