Vijayendra Prasad, screenwriter of Oscar-winning film 'RRR' and SS Rajamouli's father, has confirmed the sequel of the period drama.
He also confirmed that Ram Charan and Jr NTR will return for the sequel.
The movie is likely to be based on another chapter from the Telugu states of the pre-independence era.
Vijayendra stated, We are planning to make a sequel to Ram Charan and NTR's RRR in an interview with a Telugu station. The film will be directed by SS Rajamouli or a person working under his guidance.'
Vijayendra also made a suggestion that Rajamouli might not helm the RRR sequel.
In the event that he decides against directing, someone 'under his supervision' would continue to be involved with the production.
Vijayendra also hinted that SS Rajamouli may not direct the sequel.
But he will remain associated with the project as someone 'under his supervision' would helm the film.
