Rashmika Mandanna opens up on her deepfake video; says 'this is not normal'

Actor Rashmika Mandanna, who recently made headlines after her deepfake video surfaced online, has once again addressed the matter during a press meeting for her upcoming film 'Animal'.

She shared that such videos should not be normalised and that when you take a stand, people will support you.

The actor said, ‘So many people came and supported from South industry, North industry. It made me realise that this does not have to be normalised. It made me feel safe, and secure. So I want to tell all girls out there that this is not normal. When something is affecting you, you don’t have to keep quiet. When you take a stand, people will support you. It’s a good country that we live in.’

When asked about trolling and memes on social media, the actor said that it depends on how the person perceives it, but she has received immense support.

The 'Pushpa' actor was also asked about trolling and memes on social media. ‘I think I have got a lot of support. I think memes and trolls for any actor, cricketer or public personality, I think its how you perceive it,’ she said.

ABOUT ‘ANIMAL’

In the film, Rashmika Mandanna is playing the role of Geetanjali Singh, the wife of the film’s protagonist Arjan Vailly Singh (Ranbir Singh).

Going by the trailer, she plays the partner to a toxic husband who is suffering from a lot of childhood trauma caused by his father.

Besides Rashmika and Ranbir, the film has Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, and Suresh Oberoi in important roles.
