Actor Taapsee Pannu has landed herself in a legal mess. Son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur has lodged a complaint against her in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore for allegedly hurting religious sentiments during a ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week on March 12 in Mumbai.
Eklavya Singh Gaur, convener of Hind Rakshak Sangathan, has alleged that Taapsee wore a revealing outfit and a necklace with the image of Goddess Laxmi during the ramp walk.
‘We received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur (son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur) against actor Tapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments and image of 'Sanatan Dharma' by wearing a locket having 'Goddess Laxmi' with a revealing dress during a ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week held on March 12 in Mumbai. Action is being taken,’ Kapil Sharma, SHO of Chhatri Pura Police Station, informed news agency ANI.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu has several projects in the pipeline, including ‘Dunki’, ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’ and ‘Who Ladki Hai Kahaan?’.
