Mrunal Thakur recently went candid about her personal life, sharing how she struggles with low moods. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Mrunal acknowledged battling tough times now and then and revealed that there are days when she finds it difficult to get out of bed. The actor also mentioned that she often becomes a subject of body shaming but is positive that she can change preconceptions of Indian beauty standards. While discussing relationships and family, Mrunal also said that she is planning to freeze her eggs.
Despite her seemingly perfect life depicted on social media, Mrunal revealed that on certain days, she doesn't want to get out of bed, but she has to. "I’m feeling low one day, two days, three days, weeks, months, but nobody’s going to care except your family. So I feel like it’s so important to remind ourselves that if there are bad days, there will be good days. So that was just like proof; there are days, and it’s absolutely normal for you to feel not okay,” she said.
She added that while many people seem to look happy in their perfect holiday pictures, she often finds herself wondering if they're really enjoying the moment. While admitting that she doesn't look great while eating or at the beach, the actor said that she often ends up covering herself in sand and mud, unlike the beach aesthetics that we often see on the internet.
Opening up about body positivity, Mrunal said that people trolled her for having a ‘pear-shaped body.’ She said, “I’m going to change that beauty standard by flaunting my curves. Earlier, I was so afraid of wearing anything body-hugging. But now, I’m like, ‘Body-hugging? Bring it on. And crop tops? Bring it on. Why do we need Kardashians to set beauty standards? Every Indian woman walking on the streets, they’re so curvaceous, they’re so beautiful.”
The actor also discussed relationships and finding the right balance. She also reflected on actor Mona Singh’s statement about freezing her eggs and said, “Relationships, I know it’s tough, but that’s why you need the right partner who would understand what the nature of your job is. Freezing the eggs, yes, I’m also considering that.”
Meanwhile, on the film front, Mrunal was recently seen in 'Family Star' with Vijay Deverakonda. She next has 'Vishwambhara' in the pipeline.
