Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ has opened to mixed reviews and has managed to earn Rs 6 crore on its first day which is much behind his last film ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’s collection.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh’s tweet read, ‘#Shehzada disappoints on Day 1, despite buy-one-get-one-free offer… National chains ordinary, mass circuits dull… #MahaShivratri holiday on Day 2 may improve biz, but needs bigger jumps for a respectable weekend total… Fri ₹ 6 cr [+/-]. #India biz.’

According to trade insider Sacnilk, the film was expected to make Rs 7 crore on its first day which is quite less as compared to Kartik’s last film ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’s day one collection of ₹14 crore.
Taran also mentioned the precise collection figures at prominent multiplex chains. He wrote, ‘SHEHZADA NATIONAL CHAINS *DAY 1* STATUS… #Shehzada #PVR: 1.47 cr #INOX: 92 lacs #Cinepolis: 53 lacs Total: ₹ 2.92 cr.’

Hollywood film ‘Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania’ which also released on Friday is doing better at the box office. Taran had also shared it’s collections earlier on Friday.

Besides Kartik and Kriti, ‘Shehzada’ also stars Paresha Rawal and Manisha Koirala  Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the film is official Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramloo' which starred actor Allu Arjun in the lead role.
