Kartik Aaryan has denied campaigning for any political party after his video supporting Congress party surfaced online on Monday.

Kartik took to X on Tuesday and shared Disney Hotstar promo. While sharing the video he wrote, “This is the REAL AD @DisneyPlusHS Rest all is Fake”. It is a 49 second promo which was shot a month ago.
Now the same video has been edited to show that the actor is supporting a particular political party.

According to India Today, a source close to Kartik said denied the actor's connections with any political party and called the incident ‘misleading and mischievous’. The source shared, “There is a morphed version of a Kartik Aaryan ad floating on social media that the actor had done for a streaming platform. The video is misleading and mischievous, and is being used to claim political affiliations on behalf of the actor. Kartik has no such affiliations with any political group whatsoever.”
In the video that went viral, the ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ actor was seen campaigning for Congress candidate Kamal Nath for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. Senior Congress party leader Sanjay Nirupam reacted to it and ETimes quoted him saying, “Congress party has signed Kartik Aaryan as a campaigner for the upcoming elections.”
On the work front, Kartik is all set for Kabir khan’s ‘Chandu champion’ which releases on June 14, 2024. It is said that film depicts the life of Murli Petkar who sustained injuries during the Indo-Pak war in 1965. The actor also has Anees Bazmee’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and Hansal Mehta’s ‘Shehzada’ in pipeline.
