Actor Kartik Aaryan and filmmaker Karan Johar seem to have buried the hatchet. The duo was recently photographed together at a panel discussion at the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

Many other Indian celebrities, such as Anurag Kashyap, Rani Mukerji, Vikramaditya Motwane, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Varma, among others, also participated in the event.

For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan walked out of ‘Dostana 2’ and it was reported that he and producer Karan Johar were at loggerheads with each other.

Karan was also recently spotted at the premiere of Kartik’s latest release, ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’.

Previously, when Kartik was asked about ‘Dostana 2’ on Aap Ki Adalat, he said, ‘I have not spoken about this yet. I believe and it’s my etiquette that whenever there is a rift between an elder person and a younger person, the younger one is not supposed to say anything.’

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne commenced on August 9 with a special screening of ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’. The festival will also hold a screening of Abhishek Bachchan-starrer ‘Ghoomer’ and the closing night will have a screening of Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’.

During the screening of ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, one of Kartik’s fans in the crowd proposed to him and the actor couldn’t stop blushing. He said that he was feeling like he was at his ‘swayamvar’, as he hugged the fan.

At another event, fans cheered for Kartik when he recited his ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ monologue.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne concludes on August 20.
