Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan attended the Indian Chamber of Commerce-Young Leaders Forum event in Kolkata on Sunday. At the event, the actor was questioned about the ongoing #BoycottBollywood trend.
Addressing the issue, the 'Jab We Met' actor said, 'I don't agree with it at all. If that happens, how will we entertain, how will you have joy and happiness in your life, which, I think everybody needs. And which cinema and films are promising, which we have always done, which films have always done. What about entertainment if there are no films.'
Earlier, when Bebo’s film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' faced boycott calls, the actor said, 'The fact is that they shouldn't boycott this film, it's such a beautiful film. And I want people to see me and Aamir (Khan) on screen. We've waited so long. So, please don't boycott this film, because it's actually like boycotting good cinema.'
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will next be seen in director Sujoy Ghosh's thriller co-starring Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat which is based on the book 'The Devotion of Suspect X'. Besides this, she also has director Hansal Mehta's yet-to-titled film.
