Kangana Ranaut often grabs eyeballs for her staunch criticism of the industry insiders. This time, the actor has blasted Twinkle Khanna, a former actor and critically acclaimed author. Kangana has reacted to an old video of Khanna, who is married to Akshay Kumar, wherein she is seen comparing men to plastic bags.
Lashing out at Twinkle, Kangana said, “What are these privileged brats who call their men polythene bags, are they trying to be cool? Nepo kids born with silver spoons, given film careers on golden platters, couldn’t do justice to that for sure, The least they could do was find some joy and fulfilment in the selflessness of motherhood that also seems like a curse in their case what exactly do they want to be? Vegetables? Is that feminism?”
An old video of Twinkle Khanna has resurfaced across social media platforms wherein she is asked when she realized that she is a feminist. Being her witty self, the 'Mela' actor promptly replied, "We never spoke about feminism or equality or anything. But it was very clear that there was no need for a man. It would be very nice to have a man like you would have a nice handbag. But even if you had a plastic bag it would do. So I grew up with that notion and for a long time I felt that there wasn’t much use for them.”
She added, "They lose their hair, start wrapping the four strands, round and round, on their heads. Luckily for most women, they die 10–15 years before us. You have to feel a little sorry for them also. So, I had to walk backwards that perhaps we (women) are not superior, but we are sort of equals. That has been my journey to feminism", she added.
Workwise, Kangana will next be seen in 'Emergency'. The actor will also reunite with her 'Tanu Weds Manu' co-star R Madhavan for an upcoming pan-India psychological thriller film. Meanwhile, Twinkle Khanna quit acting after her 2001 film 'Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega'.
