Singer-songwriter Guru Randhawa, and actor Shehnaaz Gill have been in the spotlight for over a year due to their rumoured relationship. Randhawa seems to be relishing the speculation about his personal life and the attention it brings.
In a chat with HT, he said, ‘I feel very good about it when people talk about my dating life. Fans link me with beautiful girls all over the world, so it feels great, every boy wants that attention.’
Randhawa neither confirmed nor denied the rumours around him and added, ‘I want people to keep doing that [talk about my love life] for me. Even if I am not dating somebody right now, because of that news, I might start dating someday soon. If the reader [of this interview] is a girl, I am single. But if the reader is a boy, I am taken (laughs).’
Setting aside his personal life, Guru Randhawa seems more focused on his work and the buzz he's creating with it. The singer recently made his acting debut in the film ‘Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay,’ co-starring Saiee Manjrekar. While the film received an average response, Randhawa describes the experience as amazing.
‘One should explore themselves every minute, every second of every day. I have shot for two more films that will release this year. I have also shot my music videos, so I am trying to balance both,’ said the singer, who recently released his latest Punjabi single, ‘In Love with Raja Kumari.’
Reflecting on his teenage years, Guru Randhawa revealed that he had a special someone during his school and college days. ‘I've had college crushes. I have eyes and a heart too (laughs). Much like everyone else, I had a special someone in college, and even in school, there was a girl my eyes would keep searching for. In fact, my first date was on a bus on my way home from college,’ said Guru, who admits to having a big crush on Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The rumours about Guru Randhawa and Shehnaaz Gill's relationship began last year with the release of their first music video, ‘Moonrise,’ a romantic track.
Their appearance on the red carpet for Gill’s ‘Thank You For Coming’ screening further fuelled the speculation. In January this year, they released their second single, ‘Sunrise,’ reigniting the rumours. Their affectionate posts on Instagram often leave fans wondering about the nature of their relationship.
