India suffered a 10-wicket defeat at the hands of England in the second semifinal of T20 World Cup on Thursday at Adelaide Oval. Many celebrities took to social media and reacted to the loss.
Ajay Devgn posted a picture of team India and cheered up the sportsmen. He wrote, ‘Cheering for you put your heart and soul into converting the dreams of an entire nation into reality has always been an amazing experience. Though your journey to the finals was cut short, we enjoyed every bit of it.’ The actor also mentioned them as the ‘best Team in the world’ and wished them a strong comeback.

Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar also took to his social media account and reacted to India's loss in the match. He congratulated team England and asked team India to keep their chin up and emerge stronger.

Arjun Rampal also expressed his sadness on the defeat and called it a ‘heartbreak.’

Actor Athiya Shetty, who is reportedly dating cricketer KL Rahul, is being massively trolled as he hardly made runs and got out quickly even though he had a fantastic start hitting a four on the first ball. Many memes have been created around his performance that targeted his girlfriend. A Twitter user wrote ‘Thank you KL Rahul for your service to Indian cricket, best of luck for future endeavours and Athiya Shetty.’

For the unversed, there are reports that KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty will tie the knot in December this year.
