Here’s why Arjun Kapoor called Alia Bhatt as 'Mini Meryl'

Actor Alia Bhatt recently announced her Hollywood debut with the Netflix spy thriller 'Heart Of Stone.' The film will also feature the ‘Wonder Woman’ actress Gal Gadot and ‘50 Shades of Grey’ star Jamie Dornan.

Alia shared a screenshot of a news report about her debut on her official Instagram handle. With this, she added a white heart and folded hands emojis to the post.

The said post received immense love from many all over. Celebs like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lilly Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Ananya Panday and others who expressed their happiness over Alia Bhatt’s Hollywood debut.

Arjun Kapoor, who was Alia Bhatt’s co-star in the film ‘2 States’ went a step ahead and compared her with the veteran actor Meryl Streep. Arjun wrote, 'Mini Meryl's at it again,' in the comments section.

According to Deadline, the film is being helmed by Tom Harper with Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder penning the script. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger are producing the film with Mockingbird’s Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn and Pilot Wave’s Gadot and Jaron Varsano.

As for Alia Bhatt, the actor has been basking in the super success of the recently released film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. She has several projects in the pipeline including SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus 'RRR', 'Brahmāstra' with Ranbir Kapoor, 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' with Ranveer Singh, her maiden production 'Darlings' and 'Jee Le Zara' with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra as her co-stars.
