Alia Bhatt’s performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ impressed the audience as well as the critics and the film did wonders at the box office. Now, the actor has featured on international site Screen Daily’s Performance of the Year category.
Alia took to Twitter to express her gratitude. Sharing a link of the article on social media, she wrote a simple ‘Thank You’ along with a folded hand and white heart emoji.
Her fans were quick to react to her post and the comment section is filled with love and appreciation for her.
Critic Wendy Ide praised Alia’s performance and wrote, ‘Standout moments include a remarkable dance sequence in which she conveys grief over her mother’s rejection to her acceptance of her new role, as the de facto mother to the girls and women of the red-light district. She is electrifying.’
Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ released in February this year and earned Rs 129 crore in India alone, as per a Bollywood Hungama report.
