The promotions of film ‘Fighter’ are currently on full swing but the leading lady of the film, Deepika Padukone has been missing during all the promotions. The actor even missed the trailer launch event. Amid several speculations on social media, now the director of the film has opened up about Deepika’s absence.
Siddharth Anand has said that Deepika will soon join the ‘Fighter’ team in promotions. In an interview to Bollywood Hungama, director Siddharth Anand was quizzed about Deepika’s absence, to which he replied, “people put a lot of conjectures into things.” He further added, “This is a promotional strategy that we have taken. You will start seeing Deepika Padukone from tomorrow (Tuesday) everywhere.” The director then added that the actor was under the weather.
The director Siddharth Anand also said that Fighter promotions would be incomplete without Deepika and said, “Obviously, we can’t do without Deepika... Deepika and Hrithik’s pair is one of the major highlights. And it’s a huge excitement for me as a filmmaker to see both of them (together). So, I can imagine that even the audience is waiting for (her).
Earlier, reports surfaced that all is not well between the ‘Fighter’ director and the actor. Some reports also claimed that Deepika had unfollowed Anand on Instagram. However, this is not Deepika’s first time working with Anand. She has worked with him in 2008 in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and the 2023 superhit film ‘Pathaan’.

With Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone coming together for the first time on screen, the film is an aerial action thriller. The duo plays Air Force officers who get together to avenge for their nation. Besides, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi will also be seen in key roles. The Siddharth Anand directorial will be released ahead of Republic Day on January 25, giving the perfect patriotic fervour and might be among the first big hits of the year.
