‘Drishyam 2’ to ‘De De Payaar De’: Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s most memorable movies together

Actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu have shared screen space in a number of films. Their chemistry in films like, ‘Haqeeqat’, ‘Vijaypath’, ‘Thakshak’, and 'Drishyam' among others has impressed the audience. The stars are all set to entertain the audience once again with their latest collaboration ‘Drishyam 2’.
Here’s a look at some of Tabu and Ajay Devgn’s memorable movies

‘Vijaypath’ (1994)
The action drama, directed by Farogh Siddique, show how a criminal is sentenced to death by Justice Saxena. The gangster's brother Dilawar Singh then takes revenge by killing the judge's family and his driver. The driver's son vows to have the gangster punished.

‘Haqeeqat’ (1995)
Ajay portrayed the protagonist and Tabu was his love interest, Sudha Malhotra. The film starred Amrish Puri as the antagonist, ACP Shivcharan.
Shiva leaves his criminal life after saving a police officer and his family and changes his name to Ajay. He falls in love with a widow and marries her, but his past haunts him.
This action flick was a box-office hit.

‘Thakshak’ (1999)
The action drama was directed by Govind Nihalani. Ajay played Ishaan Kumar Singh, the son of an affluent business family, while Tabu played Suman Dev, a dancer.
Ishaan’s loyalty to his gangster best friend Sunny interferes with his relationship with Suman who hates violence.
Ajay and Tabu’s performance had left the audience impressed.

‘Drishyam’ (2015)
Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film also starred Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta in pivotal roles. The action thriller is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film of the same name. In the film, Ajay played the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu played the role of IG Meera M. Deshmukh.
The film is a story of a common family man who tries to save his wife and daughters when they get entangled in a crime.

‘De De Pyaar De’ (2019)
The romantic comedy was directed by Akiv Ali. Ajay played the role of Ashish, a middle-aged non-resident Indian, who fell in love with Ayesha, played by Rakul Preet Singh, a young woman who is almost half his age. Tabu played the role of his former wife. The film received mix reviews but was a box-office hit.
