Case registered against Mahesh Manjrekar under POCSO for portraying children in an objectionable manner

A case has been registered against actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar for allegedly showing obscene scenes involving minor children his latest Marathi film, ‘Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha’.

According to the reports, the case has been registered under IPC Sections 292, 34, POCSO Section 14 and IT Act Sections 67, 67B. The complaint has been filed by Kshatriya Maratha Seva Sanstha before the Bandra metropolitan magistrate court.

Besides, the complainant has also named the producers of the film, Narendra and Shreyans Hirawat and NH Studioz as accused in the case.

In January, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has objected to the bold content in the trailer of Mahesh Manjrekar film. 

However, no arrest has been made so far. The investigation into the matter is still underway. 

The Marathi film chronicles the story of two teenage boys who grow up facing deprivation and brutality and become hardcore criminals.
