Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Baiju Bawra’ is one of the most-awaited projects, and over the years, many rumours regarding the film’s casting have been doing the rounds.

Days after it was reported that the film would be headlined by Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, a new report claiming that Nayanthara will also be a part of the project has surfaced.

A Times Of India report suggests that Nayanthara is in talks for her second Bollywood project and she is being considered for an important role in ‘Baiju Bawra’.

Nayanthara has not yet officially signed the dotted lines.

The makers of ‘Baiju Bawra’ are currently finalising the terms and conditions.

In March 2023, Nayanthara and her husband, director Vignesh Shivan, had a meeting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali to explore the possibilities of collaboration. If negotiations go smoothly, Nayanthara might join Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the most-awaited project.

‘Baiju Bawra’ is expected to go on floors by the first half of 2024.

‘Baiju Bawra’ will reportedly revolve around the life of a Hindustani classical musician from the 1950s. Ranveer Singh will be seen in the titular role.

The project marks Ranveer's fourth collaboration with master craftsman Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his third collaboration with Alia Bhatt after ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

This will be Alia’s second collaboration with Bhansali after the blockbuster ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Nayanthara, known as the female superstar of South Indian cinema, made a remarkable entry into Bollywood with the recent blockbuster, ‘Jawan’. She starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the film, which has now become one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Hindi cinema.

Nayanthara portrayed the character of Narmada Rai, a fearless police officer, in the film.
