Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared a special video remembering late actor Amrish Puri. The throwback clip shows him and Amrish singing a funny song about a bald head at an award function.
Sharing the video, Anupam wrote, ‘From memories: this song was sung at a stage show many years ago!! Made fun of bald people. How innocence was there in Amrish ji’s smile!!! This was the golden period of relationships in movies! Relationships were easily made. And went on for a lifetime!!’
Actor Mahima Chaudhry, who lost her hair due to cancer treatment and chemotherapy, commented, on the video and wrote, ‘Apse hum ne bhi himmat li (I also took courage from you).’
Anupam Kher worked with Amrish Puri in films like ‘Saudagar’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Jaal: The Trap’, ‘Tridev’, and ‘Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate’, among others.
Amrish puri passed away on January 12, 2005, following a prolonged illness.
On the work front, Anupam Kher will next be seen in his 534th film ‘The Vaccine War’. Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film is all set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Independence Day 2023 in 11 languages. Besides this, he will also be seen in Kangana Ranaut’s next directorial ‘Emergency’, and ‘The Signature’.
