Alia Bhatt recently addressed false rumours claiming she’d undergone Botox treatments that went wrong, causing a 'crooked smile.' On October 25, the actor responded on her Instagram stories, openly dismissing these claims.
She began by clarifying that she holds no judgment towards anyone who chooses cosmetic procedures, emphasizing that it’s 'your body, your choice.'
However, she called the rumours about her appearance “beyond ridiculous,” referring to a viral video and several clickbait articles that spread unverified information about her.
Alia criticized those spreading 'scientific' explanations without evidence, suggesting she has facial paralysis. She pointed out that these rumours reflect 'microscopic negative judgment' and noted that such false claims could influence impressionable minds, leaving young fans to believe in this 'garbage' simply for attention or clicks.
The Jigra actor also spoke out against the broader issue of objectifying women and judging them for their appearance, lifestyle choices, and even their bodies.
Alia expressed how damaging these unrealistic judgments can be, making people feel inadequate. She stressed that these negative standards are exhausting and often come from other women, questioning why society cannot adopt a “live and let live” approach.
She concluded by saying that people have grown used to such baseless judgments, which now seem normal, thanks to internet culture.
Alia is busy working on 'Alpha', a spy film where she co-stars with Sharvari. Directed by Shiv Rawail, this action movie is set to hit theaters in December 2025.
