Prominent businessman Boby Chemmanur was arrested on Wednesday by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the sexual harassment case filed by a Malayalam actress, sources confirmed.
Chemmanur, who is a jeweller, was taken into custody in Wayanad, as confirmed by a police officer from Kochi City Police.
The SIT, led by the Circle Inspector of Kochi Central Station, was formed to investigate the actress's allegations. Chemmanur has been booked under non-bailable sections based on the complaint filed by the actress, identified as Rose.
