New Delhi, Sep 8 (PTI) - The latest installment in the "Baaghi" franchise, "Baaghi 4", featuring Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt, has garnered an impressive Rs 37.14 crore nett at the domestic box office during its opening weekend, according to the filmmakers.

Directed by A Harsha, this action-packed film hit the theatres on September 5 and also stars Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu and Punjabi sensation Sonam Bajwa. "Baaghi 4" marks the fourth chapter in the successful "Baaghi" series.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner, the production house celebrated the success by sharing the box office achievement on X, along with the movie's poster. The caption read, "Day 3 = ₹37.14 Cr. Thank you for a blockbuster weekend and for showering us with so much love. Watch 'Baaghi 4' in your nearest cinemas! Book your tickets now."

The film commenced its theatrical run on an impressive note with an opening of Rs 13.20 crore nett and maintained the momentum by earning Rs 11.34 crore and Rs 12.60 crore on the subsequent days.

The "Baaghi" series began in 2016, with "Baaghi", followed by "Baaghi 2" in 2018 and "Baaghi 3" in 2020. The first and third films featured Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady, while Disha Patani took on the female lead role in the second installment.

In "Baaghi 4", Tiger Shroff reprises his role as Ronny, a character grappling with psychological turmoil after surviving a suicide attempt on a train. The plot unravels as he descends into chaos, with reality becoming increasingly blurred.

Alongside the main cast, Shreyas Talpade and Saurabh Sachdeva add depth to the storyline with their performances in pivotal roles.
