Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are officially engaged. The couple got engaged on January 19 in the presence of close friends and family in Mumbai.
Traditional ceremonies such as Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi were also held during their engagement. Guests also witnessed a surprise performance by the Ambani family, led by mother Nita.
Anant and Radhika have known each other for several years. Their roka ceremony was held on December 29 in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
Earlier in the day, Isha Ambani along with other family members had visited Radhika Merchant’s residence and invited them for the functions. The Merchant family was received by the Ambanis at their residence.
Anant and Radhika also went to the temple to seek Lord Krishna’s blessings.
The engagement ceremony started with a Ganesh Puja followed by the reading of the traditional Lagan Patrika or the invitation for their wedding.
Anant Ambani is the younger son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. He currently leads the energy business of RIL.
Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Shaila and Viren Merchant. She currently serves as a Director on the Board of Encore Healthcare.
