Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar expressed relief and admiration for his former co-star Saif Ali Khan after the latter was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence on January 16. Speaking at the press conference for his upcoming film Sky Force on Monday, Kumar lauded Saif’s courage.
“It’s good to know he’s safe. The entire industry is happy. He was very brave, protecting his family,” Akshay said.
Saif Ali Khan reportedly sustained six injuries during the incident while shielding his children from the intruder. He was rushed to the hospital and is now recovering post-surgery.
Lighthearted Nostalgia and Kumar's Upcoming Film
At the event, Kumar, joined by co-star Veer Pahariya and producers Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, reminisced about his 1994 film Tu Khiladi Main Anari with Saif. He joked that their next collaboration should be called Dono Khiladi.
Kumar also spoke about Sky Force, his upcoming film directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. Based on the 1965 India-Pakistan air war, the film narrates a true story of heroism and national pride.
Saif Ali Khan's bravery and the film fraternity's support highlight the resilience and camaraderie within the Bollywood community, as Kumar continues to inspire with his on-screen and off-screen presence.
