Filmmaker Om Raut continues to face hurdles ahead of the release of his film 'Adipurush'. According to India Today report, a complaint has been filed against the director, producer and artist over the film's new poster. The complainant alleges that the poster hurts the religious sentiments by inappropriately displaying the characters of Hindu mythology and the characters of 'Ramayana' are not wearing Janeu which holds importance in Hindu Santani Dharma.
The complaint has been filed by Sanjay Dinanath Tiwari, who described himself as a preacher of Sanatan Dharma. He demanded registration of FIR under Section 295 (A), 298, 500, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
As per the complaint, ‘Adipurush’ has been made on the biography of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram from the Hindu religion holy book Ramcharitmanas, which holds importance in Hinduism. Sanatan Dharma has been following this holy book for many ages.
‘Adipurush’, directed by Om Raut, releases on June 16, 2023.
